Trench shall
be excavated to approximate size and shape of tank.
In areas where
there is excessive soil movement or if soil is black cotton it is recommended
that a 4" to 6" concrete base (with steel inserts) is made of
the diameter of the tank. This ensures that the tank is not pushed up in
conditions of high ground water or when the tank is empty.
The bottom
of the trench should be level and there should be no sharp rocks.
Recommended
coverage over the tank should be approx. 18".
